Sanguinarius… (De Vampyr Tu Amore...)

Come, my love
I hunger for thy touch
Let us share the Warm Red Flow
Rend my flesh to get beneath
And tarry in the depths
Seek out my blackened heart
Which beats only for thee.

Then,
When we are as one
We will dine on Nightshade
And forever dance with the Moon
But, if ever thou doth grow weary
Of our long nights everlast
I will take thy hand
To seek the Sun
And, for a moment mortal
Waste away with thee.

What a beautiful poem! I admire poets because I'm so lousy at writing poetry. I especially love this part of the poem. The poem is loving, tormenting and sensual. I think what makes it even more sensual is the mortal danger of loving a vampire.

I personally find this poem very good reading, better on the second or third time around!
