Messing With Your Karma
This morning comes as no surprise,
A cold shoulder you will give me,
Your smell blanketed in white, yet
Teeming down below, getting ready
For my crunchy steps, you brace
Yourself and hold your breath
To see if I will slip and fall, your
Stifled laugh stopped by my
Sure-footedness.
Na na na na na na.

ampoule, am I wrong if I say that I feel you composed this poem with your tongue partly in cheek?
regardless of whether you did or not, I find it to be an example of what I call little chucklers of poems. That's not a negative thing at all, and I'm not implying that your poem is lightweight or not to be taken seriously. It did give me a chuckle though--especially the ending.

This is fabulous, I can feel the crunch and wait for the laughter while sympathizing with the fall. It gives me such great visuals, I truly enjoyed reading your poem.:thumbs_up

... But I understand you didn't fall! he he! and your steps are not crunchy! and the poem runs to your victory! thank you for its light pace!

A triumphant humorous poem for all of us who have dared the icy, snowing steps up north and failed. Thank you, Amp!
Looks like my ice karma has followed me all the way to so-called tropical Florida. We're in the 20s in some places tonight.
I would like to see i snow here. :)

I love the cheeky na na na na na at the end. Classic :D Always impressed with your ability to see poetry in the ordinary things in life, and add to it a twinkling of the eye and a bit of sauciness to boot. I bet you could write a poem about a paper cup and make it sparkle.
Brought a smile to a cold, wintry morning. Thanks amp :)
