I'm in grade twelve and am currently working on a prokect that involves literary theories. I chose the psychoanalytic criticism theory and I would understand it, however, I do not understand what a literary theory is, and I think I need to understand that before I can take on different types. Can anyone help me out? I've went on sites such as wikipedia and such, but I do not understand their definitions. Can someone simplify it for me? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
