Believe me that I want to
I don’t mean to be selfish
I want to see you
Because I know you want me to
Just like I want you to see me
Only I don’t know how to show you

I want to capture and rule
The world inside me
But I’m lucky if I can ever claim
To be emperor
Of an anthill

I know you feel the same
And even if we never meet
And remain eternally separated
By eternal time and space
Even if only fiber-optic copper wires
Connect us
I still want us to meet

Maybe it’s only between
The writing and reading
The composing and hearing
The filming and watching
The saying and listening
That our anthills transform
Into an infinite
Universe

LitNet is a great way to meet someone. Good luck with your pursuit!

Ok MorpheusSandman, I have to say I actually like this one... Well done, dear. There's nothing like on-line intense, anticipation.

have been reading and enjoying
your poems, both the lines you present
and the ones between the lines,
as I imagine you in your varsity sweatshirt
with the one ragged sleeve
peering intently as if to see through
or behind the screen.

Fine poem!

Well, Prince that's what I imagines too after I read the poem. Well enjoyed.

Thanks very much to jersea, Maryd, and Prince. This is as probably as close as I'll ever come to some kind of online e-harmony thing. :D

definitely e-harmony, and even harmony tout court, Morpheus, and it reads as if it were addressing each of us, personally! it feels to me we could waltz on one of these fiber-optic copper wires, waltz to the "eternity of time and space"! Exquisite. Thank you and a happy new year again.

Either on-line or off, this says much more about the color of your heart.
Well done indeed!
