Let's hear what "SNOPES" and "DAVID EMERY" have to say about NOSTRADAMUS & 9.11

http://urbanlegends.about.com/cs/historical/a/nostradamus.htm

and

http://www.snopes.com/rumors/nostradamus.asp

http://urbanlegends.about.com/cs/historical/a/nostradamus_2.htm

"Once again, a very few words actually written by Nostradamus — individual lines drawn from two disparate quatrains, in fact — have been taken out of context, rearranged, and supplemented with made-up lines by person(s) unknown to make them seem pertinent to the event. The result, as before, is pure bunk. Not even Nostradamus would want to take credit for this "prediction." Anyone else want to have a go?"

Ok, I'll give it a shot...

What is this all about? And what brought this on?

Excuse me, but what is this thread all about? In my opinion, it's another useless thread to stir up arguments and we don't know what the heck you are talking about. This is a literature forum...why can't we work our way back to that original concept? All this arguing about religion/atheism is downright distasteful after awhile. By all means, believe whatever you wish to; but don't force you beliefs onto other members of the forum. I am really sick of these senseless threads and discussions.

I am just thinking, if someone started a thread called "Christianity is Dead...Forever" or "Buddism is Dead...Forever", etc. how angry people would be. I feel this thread itself is a direct insult to many people. Why can't people be tolerant others belief systems and be nice to others on this forum? Things sure have changed here and it dismays me greatly.

Janine: In my experience, forums like LN are basically reactive, and any of us can fall victim to reacting back to reactive threads. I have sobered up a good deal because I don't have the energy, but I have been in community conflicts that make threads like these as tame as an episode of Cosby.

It could be youth, it could be something else, but one doesn't escape the provocative in the virtual world. Don't worry about it too much, and happy new year, if I don't get another chance to offer it to you.

hahah...the Cosby show - that's good! Well, with all the various stresses in my life presently, I just couldn't take another thread clogging up the system....lately, I can't even find the literature ones on here. I had a high BP reading yesterday at my drs office, which got me worried. I don't like all this fighting on this forum or the atmosphere it evokes...I come here for a little peace. I've kept quiet for a long time; I guess I had to let it out today when I saw this new thread, thinking it was nonsense (my own opinion)...anyway, I am too tired, also and I hope our heater is fixed; another thorn in my side. I'll know after I try a shower; for the past 5 months we had lukewarm or cold; only more stress. It's freezing out. I hate winter; about now I just know I have to get through it somehow. Well, I better calm myself down and not get more stirred up. I guess we aren't get any younger right?

Happy New year to you, Jozanny. I guess I will do what I normally do that night; watch the ball drop and go to bed! hahah...maybe I will have a movie marathon that night. I love my movies!
