In the midst of these modern times comes a poem,
About life, livin' and the All- Knowin',
And if yer lookin' for answers in life, in with the wind they shall come a blowin'.
When there's a bleedin' in yer brain,
And yer sick of the same,
And you think to yerself, am I merely a pawn in this game?
When you find yerself hungry, cravin' for something more,
And you hear yer stomach growlin', as yer pickin' yerself up off the floor,
And no matter how much treasure you have, you still feel that void in yer core.
When you toss and you turn, and can't seem to relax,
And you begin to lose focus, and can only see in white and black,
Remember that the sun is always shinin, one day the rain will pass.
When you've picked yer path and come to find,
That you've been headin' down a dead-end, then keep this in mind,
That there's hope out their, friend, and it's one of a kind.
When you've had enough, yet yer beggin' for more,
And yer down in the dumps, feelin' empty and sore,
Just look for the light, take a step through the door.
When yer wounds are slow a healin',
And you find yer heart has grown too cold for feelin',
And yer searchin' for truth, and find yerself a-kneelin'.
When yer out of inspiration, deep in contemplation,
And yer out there on yer own, runnin' low on motivation.
Well, the solution to yer troubles, friend, shall come as divine revelation.
When yer love just left you, and you can't stand straight,
And you find yerself weepin', too weak to concentrate,
Understand that there is a time for everything, to love and to hate.
When yer stuck in the mud, with no-where left to roam,
And yer in knee-deep, afraid of the unknown,
Well, one thing is certain, if you follow yer heart, it'll lead you right on home.
When yer livin' in fast forward, and can't gain control,
And yer mind is on overload, and you've done paid the toll,
Know these hard times will pass, just don't let them harden yer soul.
If and when yer lookin' for purpose or reason,
Just look up to the sky, no matter the season,
Stay grounded, have faith, and keep on believin'.
