I suggest we make only one thread for birthday wishes:idea:. Instead of so many threads, only one thread that makes all share their birthdays together. It is, as well, easier for LitNetters to know whose birthday was recently AND is going to be soon.

So, why not make it a sticky note and start with:

Happy Birthday :bday_2:

Me tooo. Though I must admit that it's crazy how many birthdays are in December.

I think people get tired of long winter nights by February/March and look for alternative methods of entertainment.

As to the topic of the OP, I would prefer individual threads as well. And Poetess you can find who's birthday it is by looking at the Lit Net calendar.

Isn't it also listed at the bottom of the page each day? I think I would miss out on a lot of birthdays, if you switched to only one thread. I generally only respond to people who I know or even slightly know. Realistically, I can keep up with all. I believe, I prefer it left as it is now - individual threads. Those are always a lot of fun!

Janine,
Love your new profile? Can you help me update mine?

Oh my gosh, Lynne, I had such trouble with it. Glad you like it. I can't seem to get any photo in the background. The square keeps turning red and then a rejection statement appears above. I emailed two mods but I had tried everything they suggested. I settled finally for the plain backgrounds. The photo of Brooke is from my son's Christmas card - I photographed it and cropped and fixed the exposure a bit offline. Sure, after Christmas, I can help you change yours. When I change mine again (soon); I will reset the entire formating page. That might do the trick.
Brooke looks a little leary of Santa, but definitely wanting to make off with the cookies - she has a sweet tooth now like me! Saw her tonight - she is so cute; will tell you about it when I see you.

Hey, Lynne, you should be in bed; Santa is coming soon and he might leave you coal! haha...

Scher, I just got your drift. Now March would work - no wonder there are so many births in December! haha...

I believe that individual birthday threads are more easily noticeable. Otherwise, any given birthday could get lost amid the others. However, I confess to suffer the everlasting need to be noticed and never ever forgotten :p

and with the individual birthday threads the interviews dont get lost in a muddle of names...
