I think this piece is good. I really enjoyed the way you described the evening, and liked the ending too.

I liked it too. Kept me reading. Its a good piece over all, and it is very fluent so there is very little suggestion I can make. How ever I would have like to seen you giving this a little more purpose. the whole piece is centered around the protagonist. I would like to see more about the girl/woman on the bench and maybe see you build a little more around the relationship between the girl and the protagonist.

Just thought.

That was my thoughts on it anyway, the apparition was so desperately alone that he finds a simple bird the most beautiful thing, it enthralls him, to the point he tries to make contact with it, and it simply flies away leaving him alone again.

A painfully depressing mental image, poor little ghost:(
