Very lyrical like the eeriness of a classic child's lullaby. Well crafted! I just adore this. What a fantastic title.

Enjoyed this a lot. It should be printed on a picture of some kind or a poster made of it.

I want to print it out and frame it for my baby's nursery. Would you mind?

Wonderful choice for a villanelle and you handled it with fluid grace. Your choice to make it bittersweet was all the more inspired.

Jermac, I never liked you before I don't know if you noticed that, but now I have more...respect for you after this poem.

It makes me wish I tried to wrote in form more as it truly does enhance the flow of poems so so beautifuly. Thumbs up.

Despite our recent disagreements I honestly feel this is, indeed, a great poem. I love the alliteration and use of the formal refrain. It has a definite witty, whimsical quality to it; somewhat reminiscent of old fairy tales before they were purified by Disney. I also love the effortless use of rhyme and the rhythm-enhancing punctuations.
