View Full Version : I am Sherlock Holmes!

Nikhar

The name must surely have attracted you. This is called good advertising. :p

Anyways, the game is simple. You get to be Sherlock Holmes in this game. Deduce all that you can about the person above you. Scan the person's profiles, sneak on the visitor messages, hack into his account and read his private messages or visit his house, stand on the doorstep, point the gun on his head and threaten him to tell everything about himself. :D

You're a 17 year old single male... as far as I can tell. :p Your favorite author is Agatha Christie.

This is what I do all day. Creep people on Fbook. Hahaha.

You an Austrailian mom with a son and a daughter (both on litnet). You love Dan Brown and dancing, for which you won 3rd place at a competition in the 80's. You have the most adorable dog in the world and make pancakes in the shape of islands :p

You are a somewhat overwhelmed and depressed poet. You have low self-esteem for some strange reason. You’re a film buff, and I believe that you have a job writing reviews for some organization that I've heard of but can't remember right now. I think that you're single, and I believe that you are American. You actually like commercials. You’re on pretty late at night (which I know because I have a backwards circadian rhythm whenever I don’t attend to it) so I think that you might suffer from insomnia (at least sometimes). Like me, you value simplicity.

Now THAT'S thorough. I like this game.

You enjoy punk rock. You have professed to being a fan of The Mars Volta. You are 21. You have a boyfriend and you enjoy snakes and comics. You used to have something from a graphic novel in an avatar, but have since changed it to an artwork I've seen before done by Mark Ryden. So I looked up Mark Ryden and found out it's called "Rose" from his Blood series (I know about his work because he did the artwork to one of my old favorite punk bands The Suicide Machines)

Haha yesssss

You are a 21 year old male. You live in Virginia though you've lived all over the US and are currently attending college in a business program. You're going to work in the music biz somehow. You have a German Shepherd named Paulie but you want a cat. You play guitar and bass and sing, and claim you can't play drums but I think you could learn. You love film, and are not-so-secretly in love with Audrey Hepburn and Ingrid Bergamn. You also think every film would be better with the presence of Cary Grant. You love Dostoyevsky and Steinbeck. Most importantly, you have impeccable taste in music, liking everything but with particular emphasis on experimental stuff (and Canadian indie bands :D). You HATE The White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. I could go on.

Am I a creep or what? ;)

Mathor

Your ultimate dream is to be a veterinarian. You have lived your whole life in Ontario, and that will probably never change. Your favorite book is a mix between The Silence of The Lambs and The Crucible, which is funny because one is a play and one is a movie in reality. You have good taste in music and film. You have girl-crushes on Emily Haines, Lisa Lobsinger, and Kristen Stewart. Oh and you are a HUGE neat freak. And your relationship with your roommates reminds me of the relationship between Norah and her bestfriend from Nick and Norahs Infinite playlist, but that's NOT an insult.

JuniperWoolf

You’re 21, you like punk rock and you have good taste in music. You tend to root for the underdog, to a degree. You’re a student, you’re American and you like Steinbeck. You might have a new job tomorrow. You play an instrument, but I don’t know which one. You like to sleep in.
Surprisingly, even though you’re one of my favorite people here, that’s all that I know about you.

DanielBenoit
12-27-2009, 01:36 AM
You're 21, you live in the mountains, you wear glasses, you seem to be somewhat of a cynic, just like me too. You come from a working-class family and are proud of your background. You like Steinbeck and like to decorate your profile quite a bit. Your favorite film is Pi, but you consider the greatest film you have seen to be objectively Apocolaypse Now. You like to play tennis and watch televised fighting, you enjoy cooking and go to university. You enjoy being Sherlock Holmes because you're curious.

Did I get everything right? :D

PAM is a somewhat philosophical character. Loves to write poems. Is a big fan of Buster Keaton. Can't help but feel that sometimes pam likes those odd moments of despair and sadness which is in complete contrast to the choice of his best actors. Maybe a bit of dual personality?

Hope I haven't been too far-fetched in my predictions.

PAM is from India; a 16 years old who still lives at home with his family. He is very fond of babies and is an aspiring writer, who strives to improve his writing skills. He writes excellent short stories for his age.

PAM is also a strict vegetarian.

Glad that PAM liked my stories. Though I am 17 now! :p

PAM likes melon for breakfast with tea (or was it something else?). Loves to celebrate...anything and everything...can even celebrate The Coke Day (if there would ever be one :p)

Believes that women are a great force and is proud to be one of them.

PAM wears short skirts (Sorry if I shouldn't say that but this fact is yearning to be heard in one of the other threads:D)

And lol....I didnt know that PAM was a raccoon-eyed zombie. lol...just kidding:D:goof:

@comedian

I am referring to the post below me. I did realize that PAM was a thread where most of the rpelies are purely imaginary. I was just trying to add some humour to my predictions. :goof::goof::goof:

Nikhar seems to be a playful fellow, who enjoys a smile and witty exchange on the LitNet games. He is also a capable writer of short fictions, as his stories are posted here are quite good.

I have also deduced that Nikhar resides in India. And, regarding his table, he prefers veggies to flesh. I'm not totally certain, however, if Nikhar realizes that the PAM thread is designed to playfully insult the PAM, and as a result, most of the statements made there are the products of the imaginations of the posters.

Dare I say, "elementary"? And I do dare. ;)

The Comedian is a 30-ish married person with a couple of children. He reads comic books / graphic novels and lists Henry Thoreau, Barry Lopez, Rachel Carson, Edward Abbey, Willa Cather and Alan Moore as authors who are AWESOME.

Pam is one of the main moderators of the board, she likes order and I bet is very organized in real life. She works at a school (I think) and is very friendly to all litnetters. She is probably the most responsible person on litnet because she runs and creates all of the endless birthday and holiday threads, as well as most of the game threads. She loves telling us what's cooking and greatly enjoys the snow.

Daniel is very interested in movies and writes about them quite a lot. He has a job, hopefully close to his movies, and maybe needs to sleep a bit more. Daniel is relatively young and enjoys photography. He has a number of friends on litnet and is a part of the Facebook litnet page. He may still want to smash his computer for all of the troubles it gave him. Daniel is glued to his blog and is 'addicted to Einstein'.

JuniperWoolf is blue-collar Canadian girl who lives and breaths clean mountain air. She's lookin' for a way to make a decent wage without selling her soul. She reads widely and is not afraid of picture books. She thinks Northern Exposure is the best TV show of all time (and she's right).

I have a sneaking suspicion that JuniperWoolf likes the game of hockey, especially when it comes to fisticuffs. Despite taking a keen interest in the ways of violence, she seems to be highly compassionate about the care of animals, both wild and domestic.

PAM, who will be refered as Mary D. to protect her identity, celebrated her birthday a week ago on January 8th.

She is a devoted member of the Forum, averaging 13 posts a day; she is the first and last person you are likely to see on here every day. I am pretty much sure she also turns the lights off and locks the doors before retiring when we all go to bed. She is one of the most popular members of the Forum, owing to her outgoing personality.

She lives with her two children, a Honey, a Stanley and a husband (?) in Australia. She doesn't know how to swim but she knows a good wine and coffee.

Her favorite book is Angels and Demons and her favorite author is Dan Brown.

Oh, and she likes lentil soup.

Well, the PAM is a wonderful Ozzie lady. She's cheerful, fun to be with, smart (too modest to accept it), caring and a fabulous mom to equally charming kids. She likes to read Dan Brown and is currently reading Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns. She loves Honey and that creepy spider. She'd rather spend all her time online than on TV. Not a swimmer, but I'm told she would beat Phelps if it came to it. And she's exceptionally nice to a devil like me.

Juniper is a fascinatingly morbid and yet fun girl from a small-town in Canada. She has been surrounded by melancholy experiences her whole life, and yet doesn't entirely reflect it in her personality, which is rather fun-loving and care-free. That said, she is quite a pessimist and is not afriad of the dark abyss. She is quite wise about life for her age (accumulated I'm sure over time from experiences of life) and shares many of the same issues as moi.

She has an interest in the titanic, but would NEVER consider diving down to see it because she has a fear of the water. This will be the last year that she will be honest about her age, although in August she will be celebrating her 1st anniversary of her 39th B-day. (But if you ask me, she doesn't look a day over 33). She is attracted to short balding green guys with pointed ears, she just loves their wisdom...and maybe the way they lose their crippled nature when they use a light saber. She is from the Wolverine state, but we don't hold that against her.

Scheherazade is rumored to have long "saber-like" teeth and cloven feet that impress the ground whenever she exerts her evil might upon the soft, tender LitNet forum. While here, she has been known to ride a flying broom across the night sky and wear a tall pointy hat around the end of October. This propensity to flight might be so that she can give due chase to a certain spandex-clad hero, equally capable of flight, towards whom she often expresses the fondest affection.

There are others who claim that Scheherazade has a well-developed sense of humor and play, something which this poster is counting on. . . .

When she was pregnant with me she ate ice all the time. She left the ice scoop in the freezer one day and it was frozen.
When I was two the washing machine broke. She kept in moping the floor whenever it got to wet. It took me a few questions and a little thought to tell her to put the pipe in the bucket and stop mopping.

Being one of the forum moderators, studying Papayahead can sometimes be difficult. Despite her mystery, this is what I've come up with so far:
Papaya is a Red Wings fan... *gag*
She is (almost surely) female.
She is 39.
She lives in Louisiana, but hails from Michigen.
She is a fan of Star Wars, and perhaps of aliens/space in general.
Despite the fact that she is obligated to remain aloof (due to her Mod status), glimmerings of Papaya's opinions and sense of humour are common.
Papaya often has boughts of "girliness" (the prada bags, and the love affair with the vaccuum).
I BELIEVE that she is an engineer.
I think that she is in school, but I'm not certain which field. *edit* Spanish?
I also believe that she is single.

To the next person, skip me (I'm boring...really) and do your best to unravel the eternal mystery we call Scheherazade :D

Turquiose comes from South Africa and has been a member of the Forum for two years now. She loves football and took part in the World Cup game on the Forum.

I think she works with computers and she takes part in book club discussions as much as possible.

And her work with computers does not involve hardware (she is a software developer for a bank!)

Scheherazade is a teacher and a leader. And even though she's not where she would like to be, she still considers herself a Pièce de Résistance. Why the foreign phrase? I'm not sure. But I suppose there's some connection to her documented observation that quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtu. I also have read that if she were a classroom, she'd be an ESOL classroom.

It's funny about Scher -- most of the time, she's surrounded by jokers and clowns. . . .left and right. Well, maybe Superman will rescue her someday from those filled with passionate intensity.

The Comedian is 30ish, married, and has two children. Is interested in orchids, canoeing, cross-country skiing, comics and literature (obviously!) Calls pretending his occupation but I suppose we would all perhaps like him to be more specific about what sort of pretending he does...or wait that's probably for me to find out as Sherlock Holmes! :D

Pensive used to be the youngest member of the Forum but not anymore! She's just turned 18 and we all hope that this will not stop her coming to the Forum.

Pensive, who is still student, likes reading (d'uh!!!!) but she does not like dancing - much to my chagrin!

Scher has nothing better to do... She keeps reviving long-dead (and should be left so) game threads.

Sher, used to being the life of the party, the Pièce de Résistance, is not where she'd like to be. I know the feeling...

Pendragon is a vital LitNetter who champions and participates in many of our excellent poetry contests. And even though his poetic judgment is sometimes impaired (when he judges anything other than my own masterpieces as anything less then blue ribbon material -- ;) ), he's a good egg all around. And he's got an image of Eisner's The Spirit in his signature! He's also a guy who knows his comic books.

The Comedian is a champion of the young as he is a professor of English at a small college on the Canadian border in the woods. He likes to go canoeing, smoking cigars and leaving his phone dead. He has a nice sounding family, had a master's degree in literature, and appears to be generally a nice guy.
