How do you celebrate Christmas (or Hanukkah or whatever else) in your own way? For me I get to sleep in, open presents, then just spend the whole day with family that I never get to see and have a lot of fun with them :) I know super exciting. But I really do love this season :D

I usually have to work Christmas...This year I am not doing it! I celebrate Christmas with my daughter; I refuse to get out of my jamies. We put up two trees the week of Thanksgiving and buy all sorts of goodies: applets and cotlets, peppermint bark. We make sherry balls and sometimes cookies. We spend what we can afford; some years we buy something small other years it's a computer or television. We open our gifts on Christmas eve or morning; have a nice meal...usually pot roast because that's her favorite. Watch a movie, maybe play a game and then I take a long nap.
Christmas? Huh? When is this supposed to happen? Oh yeah . . . it's December already. I go hunting.

Yes, yes, YES! Greatest Chirstmas film ever made! Nothing compliments the holidays better than Jean Sheperd's nostaligic recollections of childhood.

While a Christmas Story is good nothing beats George Bailey and his broken down building and loan.

No more 5am awakenings as the kids are now teenagers. We'll probably have to get them up like we did last year! My wife and I can't usually wait. Then its prezzies, clearing up and peparing the dinner, getting the Mother-in-Law down along with the old auntie and the big EAT. Then I'll be washing up for an hour. After that this year we'll be watching Journey To The Centre of the earth in 3-d. Then we'll have a light tea and crash.
Superb

Yes I know. The two aren't really comparable since one is a fictinal biography/morality tale while the other is a series of comedic viginettes concerning a man's childhood. Both are great, but I can't help but be taken in by Shepard's nostaliga. It's a Wonderful Life is Frank Capra's masterpiece though.
