Do you need to wake up and shovel? you should be praying for a dry, brown winter, as apposed to a wet, slushy, white one.

Seriously, I am not looking forward to the winter. But, as they say, Winter is a country and state of mind, not a season.

Reminds me of Gilles Vigneault... the old separatist bastard.

Please be so kind as to keep the white stuff on the west side of the Atlantic. My mother used to watch news programmes showing blizzards in America and mutter morosely, 'Three weeks and it'll be here...' She wasn't any more accurate than the Met Office but the very thought of snow brings back that memory and with it her dread of winter weather which I have inherited - or learned from her. So - please keep it Over There. Thanks.

Send all the extra snow to Finland! We had a little more a couple of days ago, but it melted away again :(

I mean, we really need it, as it greatly increases the amount of light. Finnish winters are so dark unless there's snow...

Gosh we had a minor little blizzard for about an hour yesterday evening and I got stuck driving in it. My windows were fogging up, I couldn't see the yellow dividing line in the street, and I was praying each time I hit the brakes. You can keep the snow.

My new university is really far north, and nicely inland, so I've been looking forward to some snow... unfortunately, I'm informed by those who have been here longer than me that due to some werid micro-climate-thing we hardly ever get it... just frost and ice... hmm...

One of these days, I guess I'll just have to move to Iceland or something...

We Finns don't get our driving licenses until we have practised driving on a slippery surface - and for a good reason :p But hey, it adds excitement to a boring day when your tires lose their grip if you do corners in a speed any higher than 15 km per hour

Was snowing (big flakes) here last night early; but then turned to yuky rain/slush combination and finally all rain. Really I didn't mind; but being a weekend, it might have been nice to have a little white blanketing - the lake bordering my property would have looked very scenic with snow; and the house feel cozy. Now, driving in snow is an altogether different story; that I no longer relish. I hope it doesn't snow much this winter...and if it does so, only on the weekends!

We got snow down here in the valley too. We never get snow hardly. I had to go take a test (Saturday morning test wtf?). Anyway, it was beautiful. By the time I finished my test, the snow had stopped and it was beginning to melt. i love snow. not that I have a vehicle that's fit for snow driving. and around here, the threat of snow gets everyone all excited, running out to the the store for bread and milk. and then we never get that much accumulation. I love the south.

 I never had to shovel- I'm the small frail female in the family, and at school our neighbours plough out our driveway for us. I just think it's pretty, and I'll take snow over the ridiculous and nearly constant rain we've had where I am.

I don't like the cold, but if it's going to be cold no matter what, I'd rather have cold and snow than cold and rain.

Sidenote: it's snowing right now :)

I love me some snow. The white clean fist snow fall kinda snow not the slushy dirty making a mess of the roadways snow.
