So true! And the catch is we never seem to catch up.

I do not know
if this is a poem
but you wished to share
your happy phrase!
And you know it is.
Thanks!

So brief and yet with such meaning! Excellent!
I do not know
if this is a poem
but you wished to share
your happy phrase!
And you know it is.
Thanks!
It is not a poem unless you chose that it is, I have no preference.
You are in Lisbon? I wish I could be there, Fernando Pessoa and Jose Saramago have told me much about your city, but I must see it for myself one day.
Welcome my friend,

"Thanx, I know", you answered Pendragon, with such a "British" tone and wink.
I could quote Pessoa endlessly, this for example (de Campos if I am not mistaken)
"And my ambition would be to carry the universe in my arms
Like a child being kissed by its nurse."
I find him to be one of the most fascinating poets ever (though he somewhere claimed he was not a poet and the merit was in his lines, independent of his will...) and - he loved Yeats!
Lisboa is, for one who "knows", full of Fernando Pessoa...
Oh! and I see, you quote Szymborska! I had the pleasure of meeting her once in Paris, she is an ageless lovely lady of immense culture and -- modesty! And where are you? (I am still learning about this site's labyrinths)
