The beauty of a swan
The emotion of a tiger
The peace of a green meadow
The love we could never have.
All of it could never compare.
The thrill of the hunt
The excitement of the chase
The passion of the fight
The thought of the reward.
All of it could never compare.
The riches of the expedition
The luck of the roulette wheel
The love of two lost souls
The days of endless glory.
All of it could never compare.
The confusion of this hopeless verse
The time when I could not find my way
The day when the tide would not guide me
The hours I was trapped under the rockslide.
All of it could never compare.
The pain of the bullet wound
The feeling of being kicked while you're down
The day they took you away
And the desperate quest to find you.
I wish none of it had ever happened.
