A Man's Life Is His Work

The lights above in the gallery make
a ring of philosopher's shadows radiate.
As what Art reveals to us today
is but the dream of the artist's memory.

This object, this farce, this priceless lie,
set apart in a guarded chamber,
is a testament to what's been tried,
and the shadows, ghosts of our common labor.

So when you noted it was previously published, I'm really delighted. Your have a nice way with words which you used with economy and I appreciate the depth. Thank you for sharing.
