Most think of November as Turkey Month but truly that is not what November is all about. November is a Transition month. And though all month's are month's of change. November is prominent for it. The leaves change color and crackle beneath your feet. The style changes and some feel forced to buy more clothes. There is the anticipation for snow in everyone's hearts unless it has already started. Here in sunny California the town I live has only had snow twice. both times before I was born. Everyone at school though hopes that it will be cold enough for snow though we all complain bitterly about the freezing temperature. My pool stands devoid of people and makes me wish I had enjoyed it more in the summer time. November is also the end of the first trimester at school and all the kids hope to get honor roll just so they can get whatever gadget their parents have promised them. I don't though. I have always gotten a 4.0 but don't get anything in return. I guess it has become to habitual. November is also the month of my friends' B-day. Both my friends are triplets together and have a triplet brother. Their birthday is just after Thanksgiving and they always feel forgotten because everyone is so preoccupied with teh Turkey to remember their special day. I also feel like this because my B-day is after New years. So you people out there reading this Happy Turkey day ahead of time but don't forget that November is a month of change so embrace change and be thankful for it.

Indeed I am thankful.
Where I live in Cali we have snow predictably a handful of times. Enough to enjoy and not be overburdened by it.
The fruits of your 4.0 will blossom as the flowers of the cherry tree; a multitude with the promise of more blessings with each and every year.
I've just finished a November poem. It's my first Sedoka (actually 2-related Katauta [that started out as a Bussokusekika, but that's another story]). I've much to learn in this archaic poetry form.
Sedoka-1
Wan leaves spared from fall
Figs shiver upon their tree
Ecstatic in fruit still sweet
Mid-November morn'
Sliver of a crescent moon
With promise waits to appear

November is a month of change...
Right, change for the worse.
This is the month they change the clock.
5pm is midnight.
All the leaves fell, the trees look like skeletons,
and they are watching!
My birthday is this month, I get birthday presents but never what I want...
what I really want doesn't come in gift form.
Thanksgiving is boring. The only turkey I care for is Wild Turkey.
Oh, on the rocks, please.
Can I go to sleep now?
Don't wake me until April.

November is a colourful refreshing month.
The colours of the trees against an ever changing sky are astonishing.
The roads are covered in leaves and there is an air of festivities and snow in early evenings.
I enjoy autumn and November lives up to it very well.
