James and his parents moved into a new house over the summer. The first day in their new house James got a phone call. “I will get you James” said the mysteries voice :eek:
“Who is this?” James said with a sound of dread in his voice. There was no answer. James called the police and told them to come over right away and told them everything that just happened. They told him to stay where he is when he heard a crash from the attic. He said that he is getting out of the house because of the crash. James made his way out the front door and ran down the street and that’s when he heard the sirens from the police cars he saw lights and then the cars, but then he heard a rustle in the trees and caught a glimpse of a terrible looking thing in the woods running towards the police cars. The police cars disappeared from view behind a tree and never came out the other side of the trees a tire came bouncing out of the trees and rested at his feet. He stood paralyzed for what he just saw was called the Mocking Happerdale. He stood there for a period of time. After he realized what just happened he ran, he ran faster than one of the cars on the road. He didn’t get tired until he had worn his shoes down so much that he could feel every single little bump in the road. A couple of hours later he remembered that the Mocking Happerdale can only be killed if it touched a gold object. He thought were the crap am I going to get some gold to kill some crazy monster. He then saw a glint on the ground. He went over to where he saw it and moved some leaves. He gasped for what was there was a solid gold knife. He carefully picked up the knife as if it were an atomic bomb about to go off. Now he thought if I can find out where the Mocking Happerdale rests I can set a trap for it. The Mocking Happerdale is a sucker for silver things, its fatal flaw. He happened to have a bottle of silver spray paint he carried around for some reason unknown to everyone else.
James painted the knife gold silver and hid it until he had gotten back to where the cops had met there doom. He placed the now silver knife on the ground and ran into some bushes. He climbed a tree knowing that the Mocking Happerdale cannot climb trees. He waited and waited until the suddenly the Happerdale came into view. It went and picked up the knife and for some reason nothing happened to it. This was no ordinary Happerdale. It started to walk away and he jumped down and chased it. He followed it to a kid from schools house.
The kid’s name was Shone Koles. He was the meanest most vicious person in the world. James snuck up on him and tapped him on his shoulder. He turned around and yelped. When he figured out that it was James he smiled and said “ok People he caught us time to give up.” Lots of people came out of the trees around him with cameras and boom mikes and stuff.
The police officers came in and some random guy came up to Shone and said “ Josh I think I want that gold knife back can I have it”. Shone/Josh handed the knife over to him.
“SO IT WAS ALL A JOKE? ALL A JOKE WHAT IS THIS YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY! I WAS SCARED SICK FROM ALL OF THIS!” some guy were a tux came and said “I think it has a reasonable price to it” The guy in the tux handed over a check with 6 digits on it.
James couldn’t say a thing. He was paralyzed “600,000 dollars!” James screamed. After that he lived for the rest of his life happy and wealthy.
