Have a great day and year, CC! :)
An interview with *Classic*Charm*:
Why are we doing this interview thing?
Because a year has passed since the last one!
Are you sure you want to do this?
Sure!
Are you male or female?
Female
What is your name (if you don't mind sharing it with us)?
Lindsay
Got milk?
Yes, of the chocolate variety
Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
That would be me
If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World
What makes you keep coming back to the Forum?
The people and all their knowledge of which I would love to absorb even a little!
It has been a year since the last interview. What have been the high and low points?
Oh wow. Highs: A life-changing concert experience, training Moonstone (the new horse in my life) and getting back in the show ring, my brother getting engaged, meeting a person who would flip my head around (that was both high and low)
Lows: some baaad grades, getting bronchitis more times than I can count of one hand, working a job I hated, finding out my grandmother is terminally ill
The best and worst books you have read during last year?
Best book was East of Eden. I was surprised too, because I had renounced Steinbeck for eternity after reading The Red Pony, and somehow managed to get sucked back in. I won't call it the worst book, but the one I least enjoyed was Anna Karenina.
The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
My grandmother's illness. That was a kick in the pants.
What has been the the biggest change in your life since your last birthday?
My state of mind. This time last year was the happiest I have ever been, but I've done some good solid growing up since then.
Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism?
Yes, I do. It took me a while, but I think I've figured out what I really believe. Moving away from practicing Catholicism was a good personal move.
Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
A cat or a horse, though I don't think I could decide. How does one choose between wisdom and freedom?
How did you meet your significant other?
If by significant other, you mean my horse, it's a lovely story ;)
What is the one thing you must do before you die?
Perform surgery on a horse. That may sound morbid to some, but it's my life's ambition.
Do you believe in ghosts?
Absolutely not.
What is your role in an emergency situation: the 911 dialer, the person who runs to
the scene to help, the video recorder, or the person too overcome by shock to do anything?
I'm the person who runs to the scene. I don't handle stress well unless the situation is medical. Then I'm a machine.
What song is in your head at the moment?
The Men Who Live Upstairs- The Most Serene Republic
Which book are you reading at the moment?
The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje
The last book you finished reading?
The Custodian of Paradise by Wayne Johnson. I'm on a Canadian kick right now, apparently
What are you wearing at the moment?
A Royal blue top, a black sweater, skinny jeans, a brown leather belt, and a black knit hat. I was wearing blue suede ballet flats with holes in them before, but now I'm barefoot.
Favorite TV shows?
The Big Bang Theory, The Office
Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?
Oh so many!
Favorite post on the Forum?
Hmm..I don't think I have a single favourite post
Favorite thread?
Probably Now Playing. It never gets old
Last food did you have?
Pita bread with melted cheese on it and tomato soup
Last words you said out loud?
"I can't believe you actually looked Vern up online!" to my roommate. Vern is one of our profs. Awkward
Last person you hugged/kissed?
I hugged my friend Rachel this afternoon. Oh wait, I hugged my roommate Kathryn more recently. She had a bad dream during a nap
What question would you like to ask yourself?
Can you really do this?
What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Studying for my Nutritional Biochemistry midterm
Last dream you remember having?
I had one last night, but I don't remember what happened in it.
What is your most bizarre book memory?
This past winter when I became completely obsessed with Twilight. Whoops
Who is your best friend and how long you have known them?
Her name is Erin and we've been friends for 13 years. We met in second grade :D
If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
Definitely sight. I could not live without the others. I love music and food and contact too much for that.
Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
I will always be in pursuit. It's just how I am
How often do you tell lies?
Never. I don't lie
What gives your life meaning?
Seeing personality in my animals and forming real bonds with them, the relationships I have with my family and friends, the ridiculous pace my heartbeat reaches when I hear an amazing song, fresh pages between my fingers, the taste of artisan cheese, the smell of leather and lilies, and the desire I have to be a veterinary surgeon
What type of Faerie would you like to be and why?
The kind that is spelt "Fairy". What's the difference?
If you were a colour, what colour would you be and why?
Green. It's very peaceful.
What makes you laugh?
My animals, my friends.
What was the happiest period of your life and why?
Probably this time last year, to be quite honest. Everything was going well and I was genuinely happy for a pretty long period of time.
If you could be a disney character who or what would you be and why?
Belle from Beauty and the Beast! She was brunette, read a lot, had a horse, and was the only Disney female who wasn't waiting around for a man to save her.
Do those animated smilies ever get tired? Think of them day after day, dancing or crashing computers or laughing or crying till the end of time...
They should find themselves a hobby.
One thing you would like to do before your next birthday?
Make the dean's list
Did you answer all of the question?
