Hello! My name is Angie. I am about to intimidate you, Reader, with my ramblings. If you are sane, not some bored spinster and is an intellectual.
Please don't read any more than this.
Cos considering how much I think I'm going to write, you will probably know me enough to marry me. o_o
I think I'll begin with...age.
I'm a freshly-rotting little 18 year old Korean girlie, currently studying in university. (English Lit. major)
Woo I've just gave away my entire background information in one sentence. Great. I feel so boring.
I lived overseas since I was a teeny twitty baby, and have lived so since. English, although it may not be my mother-tongue, is what I consider as my first language.
I apologize in advance though; My English is rather stiff these days, since I've moved back to my home country (Korea).
My hobbies are........ Reading and writing. Well, obviously. That I'm sure everyone here has in common. I have an unhealthy interest in fashion. -Fashion being the few things that motivate me to take a part-time job- I also have an equally unhealthy interest in Vintage, Retro and Victorian. I am obsessed with vintage clothing, particularly those from the 1920s and 1960s. I am an avid fan of Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austen, as many are. My heroes are Coco Chanel, Charlotte Bronte. Coco Chanel for her talent and independence, and Charlotte Bronte for her genius and feminine prose.
I listen to jazz, blues, anything with acoustic or piano as the only instrument, classical rock and occasionally lounge music. I play the guitar, I own a old Fender strat (electric) and a Yamaha acoustic. I also play the piano. I love sports, except swimming, due to a fear of drowning, adopted from a childhood trauma. I spend my Sunday mornings, riding a bike through random places, just to feel the wind tickling my cheek and ruining my hair. Afternoons, baking cookies or reading light novels, Night, reading manga. I sound like a spinster. I do have boyfriends. But I am currently forcing myself in my own personal rehabilitation program. I have a problem with staying with one person, before I give myself a bad name, I am stopping myself from any relationships. Love seems so unromantic and boring in this real world, it has seized to interest me. Oh great, Now I’ve just told the entire world that I have a fidelity problem. Darn.
I am anti-war, an environmentalist, a feminist (Well I’m sorry, actually I’m not, you try being a Korean girl, and you’d find yourself feminist too), a liberal (actually, who isn’t?), a democratic egalitarian (lol again, who isn’t?) and… very bored.
I am addicted to Manga, I try to stop myself, but in vain, every-time. I may originally have too much sugar in my blood; I cannot eat too much sugary foods. Especially artificially flavoured ones, with loads of preservatives.
I THINK I SHOULD STOP HERE.
random facts
- I'm scared of dinosaurs. They terrify me. Ghosts? Bah. Dinosaurs? JKLFJDSLKFJDSKFLSJKFLKJFS NOOOO.... is my initial reaction. I was sure I saw a dinosaur when I was young in some island, but no one believed me. I'm 18 years old now, and people still don't believe me.
- I am a plant person. When I feel sunlight on my skin, I feel like I'm growing.
- I have a habit, wherein I Ctrl-S every few minutes when I type. As if I'm trying to save... time or something.
- I believe that Lewis Carroll may have been my soulmate. He is quite a hottie.
- I don't like noodles.
- I find lucid-dreaming a good way to make stories.
- I love having tea parties. With all the lace, expensive cups, flowers, and pretty hair.
- I am really easily nauseous; I find it hard to ride buses or cars. So I walk, or take a bike, or the metro.
WOW NOW YOU KNOW EVERYTHING. You can marry me, and take me out of my spinsterhood.
Actually, I am a spinster by choice, cos you know, spinsterhood has some kind of mysteriously fashionable tone about it.
This is great. I think I will save all this, and post this everytime I need to write an introduction about myself.
Lastly,
NICE TO MEET YOU ALL!
Ah I feel so excited after two years of non-english-ness.
