Through out the story, Winston has many accounts with visualizing himself in committing murder. First he imagines raping Julia and slitting her throat, the next account was when he was walking through the prole section when he gained the urge to follow Julia and bash her head in with a cobble stone. From Winstins own mouth he admitted to having thoughts of pushing his wife over the edge of a cliff after they had gotten lost on a community hike in Kent.

What I want to know is his agression only toward the female population or is it among the men too?
Also, Are most of his violent thoughts caused by the way the government is in control, restricting him fom being in control, and he only feels that he has control by leaving someone elses life in his power?

I think you're confusing different emotions.

When Winston visualises killing Julia, it's because he sees her as embodiment of the Party's chastity and attitude.

When he wants to kill his wife, it's to stop a loveless marriage.

The violence in Winston is directed towards any Party implement or functionary rather than any underlying misogyny.

I don't think so. I think the point Orwell is making is that oppression creates its own violence, which is why the Thought Police exist and Winston's violence is against the rulers.
