The Lanes of Warwickshire
Damson Lane Oh! Damson Lane
Shall I ever walk again?
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Pluck the berries purple tongued
Where I walked when I was young
In the lanes of Warwickshire
When the bluebells stained the eye
In the shade as I strolled by
Past the musk rose of delight
Where Titania dreamt at night
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Nodding where the violet shows
Past the bank where wild thyme blows
And the honeysuckle grows
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Where the river ran like wine
Over hung with eglantine
Still the stars from heaven shine
O’er the lanes of Warwickshire
Damson Lane Oh! Damson Lane
Shall I ever walk again?
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Pluck the berries purple tongued
Where I walked when I was young
In the lanes of Warwickshire
When the bluebells stained the eye
In the shade as I strolled by
Past the musk rose of delight
Where Titania dreamt at night
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Nodding where the violet shows
Past the bank where wild thyme blows
And the honeysuckle grows
In the lanes of Warwickshire
Where the river ran like wine
Over hung with eglantine
Still the stars from heaven shine
O’er the lanes of Warwickshire
