what did I ever do to deserve this? Honestly, this shows how culture is truly degrading.

Well that's a bit of an extreme response, it's obviously intended to be humorous.

Yuck. But I also think it's pretty funny.

Personally, I think this is a wonderful joke. No one who would read the original works would take this seriously! I laughed aloud at reading the website through. Thank you for posting it! Think of the reactions spreading like shock waves throughout the world. The great words will survive; they are immortal. What a demonstration of how seriously we all take things that are important to us, even to the extent of losing perspective.

The humour isn't exactly my cup-of-tea, but if the quotations on the publisher's website are accurate, then it looks like readers are going to have to have a firm grip on the stories anyway. That would suggest its aimed at relatively well-read people, and not merely a cheaty tool for the near-illiterate.

I can't decide whether some of you have decided to take this seriously, or whether you are just playing with the joke by pretending to believe it.

But surely if you can fit Hamlet into 20 words it is a good thing???

 That is just funny. I laughed when I read the reviews; but hey, they would have to read the classics before writing a book about them, so its not so bad, right?

Have you seen the Skinhead Hamlet? The language is not for the easily offended.
