I need help with THE HANDMAID'S TALE by Margaret ATWOOD !!! Please !

Hi everyone, the first thing I would like you to know is that English is NOT my mother tongue, So it made the book even harder to read and understand !!

Alright, so I have an essay to write and the topic is

Choose a significant passage from The Handmaid's Tale and relate its importance to the work as a whole.

I have NO idea, what passage I could use, and what points I could talk about !!!

If by any chance, someone has any idea, it would help me a lot !!

Well I've never read the book, but I would recommend looking for some sort of turning point in the novel. There has to be a moment in there somewhere that stands out for you.

I am trying to figure out something for the Passage of The Ceremonies, When the Handmaid has sex with the Commander and his Wife !! Now, I need to analysis it on 3 points that answers the question, why is this passage important for the novel? , and I think the easiest points would be 3 of these :

character, setting, tone, language, theme ..

I don't know how I will do it but I'll have to figure it out TONIGHT !!!
