I know at least a couple of litnetters have done this ( move abroad for work that is ) before me and since I am about to do it I was wondering what people think is important to take with me? what do I do to prepare? What important thing am I likly to forget? What are common brickwalls people run into? etc etc
Although in my case I am not really going to a froeign country I am just moving back to Egypt but still I have never moved countries on my own before. SO any advise is welcome!

Is the company paying for your move? Are they paying for your housing for the first few months?

I went to live and work in Saudi Arabia when I was about your age Nightshade. I’m sure it will be a fantastic adventure. Make sure you take your laptop (for Lit-Net), your sense of humour, a sense of adventure and lot's and lot's of your favourite tea bags!
PS: I’m betting you won’t miss all those irritating Manchester United fans. ;)

Oh yes TEA I hate lipton and Arousa ( egypts favoruite brand) with a vengance but when I was over a few weeks ago people kept offering me Twinnings so hopefully I will be ok with that a a few boxes of my odder teas. :D And no I won't miss the Man U fans althlogh the school is right by Cairo Stadium ( its my old school long version on how I got job in blog) and on match days people climb up and sit on the roofs of cars and busses and bang drums becasue traffic is at a stanstill anyway!
