Hello everyone,
I'm a mature student studying english studies at university, really enjoying it but a little out of date, so here for help and advice. Presentations and stuff like that is all new to me.

I've been an avid reader all my life and felt that I should put my love of literature to good use.

I read anything as long as there is writing on it, well almost. I have a great love for Jane Austin, the Bronte's, and loads more, too many to write down here. I also love more modern texts too.

look forward to making friends here

Rachel

OK, I cannot beat that... You surely have more milage on your Zimmer frame than I do! ;)

Hey, I remember reading you spent 3 hours at the gym the other day... What were you doing there? Reading the free magazines while enjoying the "scenery"? :p

When in the gym and I have to bend down & tighten the laces to my trainers, I have to ask myself: "Is there anthing else I should do while I'm down here"

thanks for the great welcome everybody. glad to be here, its a bit confusing I seem to keep losing my post. I had a great english lecture today. our introduction to fiction lecturer is really great. told me to stop stressing and keep my presentation simple to start. Its a three year course after all.
any advice on 'James Joyces' the Dublinners, I am working on the themes of paralysis and the historical context. got far too much stuff to work my way through.
hugs to all
Rachel
