Hello!
I'm studying English literature and history, and it's sooo hard to remember all the authors and dates... can anybody help me? any trick? Maybe you could recommend me a good book or film?
I'm reading Charles Dickens's Great Expectations and it's taking me ages, due to the language used. Is it normal? Do you feel the same?

I'd suggest laborious repetition if it's just a matter of names and dates. It's boring and it's a straightforward approach but it works. Welcome to the forums.
