I has just got an idea to post this homework of mine here. Nothing more than an attempt to write something.:D
An accident on the hill.
That very day was a very rainy weather. It was the day, when I had that little accident on the hill. Yes, it is ten years, but I can remember it as it has been just yesterday. Vividly, strongly and unforgettably. Now I will procced to storytelling itself.
I was making a cup of tea when Brenda came, my daughter, came into a kitchen and asked me whether I would accompany her to the meeting with her boyfriend, who as she had said me before, was an amateur photographer. I answered that it was really a good idea and we emerged from the house few minutes afterwards. Both of us dressed in the good rain-proof jackets and Nike boots.
During the way over a town we were speaking only briefly about her ongoing career as a journalist in a local tabloid. Yes, nothing more for a starting journalist. However, she was responding to my questions quite cheerfuly. That bloody rain had become even more dense and in a moment we were completely drenched by all water falling from the heaven.
Brenda´s boyfriend was waiting for us at a local pub. A bit noisy place, but otherwise all right. Our jackets were completely soaked and drops of water were falling down silently. When I looked at myself into a mirror behind a bar. I felt a bit ashamed to look like this before my daughter´s chosen one. Yeah, Sandy. That was really brilliant.
It was not drizzling outside, it was a real downpour.
I had to look really damp, because boy eyed me with a hand over his mouth, covering his laughter. I and Brenda took seats facing him over a table. I ordered three cups of hot chocolate and started asked him few question. I may say that he looked really good. He wore a denim jacket and a baggy trousers. After some time we were talking as we had known each other for a long time. Minutes passed and suddenly the sun tore clouds apart.
Jack, Brenda´s boyfriend, asked us whether we would like to have a little trip on the top of hill, which was nearby. Both of us happily agreed that it was a good idea. And he said also said that he could take there a few pictures.
The sun was shining and embracing us in warmth of its ribbons. It was a very enjoyable journey up there. We were talking a lot and laughing out loud. That particular hill was a pretty creepy place with an old chapel, mouldy and devastated, where it was rumoured that a murder of the young girl once had occurred, of course, in the past. Nonetheless, it was the only place from where you could see a whole town nested in a valley.
Jack asked me whether I could be standing on the curved edge of the hill where the slope was really steep while he would be taking pictures of the valley and town behind me. I agreed even though a bit warily. I walked up there, where I though it was still safe. But he still gestured at me to go even nearer to the edge.
I was standing on the very edge when he was finally satisfied with a view and suddenly something started happening. Firstly, I had not been completely sure "What the hell was going on?" but immediately afterwards I spotted the ground under my legs falling down. I achieved to make some steps forward, but it was too late. Tons of soil under my legs were running away and I was running with them.
When the horrific fall finally stopped my body was aching and throbbing. It had not been lasting for a long time after few seconds I passed out. When I came out of shadows of the nether realm of consciousness, I heard them calling after me, but I could not manage to speak a word. A terrible prickling pain in my head was overwhelming and it made my vision blurred and for my ears the voices of those two calling loudly after me, were nothing more than the echoes from the big distance. When pain came to the nadir and I thought that I would again pass out, I glimpsed a shadow running nearby trough some bushes. I wanted to call at him or her to stop and help me, but I was unable to made nothing more than a mere grunt. I tried to crawl on my knees with all my strength I could muster, but as soon as I started doing it, my legs gave away and I fell like a log of wood on the ground with a hollow thud. I made few other attempts to help myself, when a kind of good force from the outer space touched me and made me fall into the the depth of unconsciousness. The abyss of void beyond your imagination which can slowly progress to the stage when you again can dive into a normal deep sleep and dream your dreams for a while.
The end.
