Last night I dreamed of things I thought would never be
A world of darkness, fear and immorality
People hiding behind the hills crying, “Oh Lord, save us”
As the roaring sound of crushing thunder pierced unto their hearts.
To live, to die and to perish… what more do we ask?
As we live in this world full of hatred, injustice and no trust.
To be or not to be is not the question to ask,
But for how long will these nightmares come to last?
Corpses, souls, body and blood,
All trying to unearth their dismembered parts
Amidst the ashes and debris in the cloudburst place
A sigh, a nod, a cry in agony I heard.
Rivulets of gory flows under the sultry sun,
As they plead for their last breath… or gone
As the blind stared at the riotous mortals
A raging tidal breaks the silent one.
Shadows and more shadows followed another
Leaving their carcasses amongst the others
Waving white flowers to the untouched
While the rest stood in silence
As they lay their hearts Above.
Who shall we believe in?
Whom shall we trust?
Who can we depend on to bring justice to our tortured past?
No where to run…
No where to hide…
For we are but hostage, hostage of the uncertain future…
