Crossroads
Gone are the days when the warm summer sun
Arose with new hope in the dawn…
I feel that my life is so close to being done,
That I struggle through blinding rain, struggle on…
Chilled by perception, hurt by rejection—
A ghost of the man I once was—
People say that life consists of one’s perception,
That things cannot get worse—then it does…
But what if this life is a delicious illusion,
A dream in the night that just never ends—
A glimmer of hope then can light the confusion—
If the end is where it really begins…
Trusting in Faith, holding to hope, embracing affection:
Making the right choice, then moving in that direction
