In the flicker of the candlelight
I see your face staring at me
Your lovely smile...
Casting meaningful glances.

In the candlelight
I see memories dancing around me...
the good ones, painful ones
Memories of how we used to be.

In the candlelight
My eyes burned with tears
As reality slowly creeps in
Darkness embracing me
Cold and alone...
With nothing but old memories
Nothing but a candlelight
to accompany me.

Then the wind blew...
Nothing but darkness surrounds me
Nothing and no one
But only me...

Yet, I see your face
And I hear your voice
Telling me you love me...
That you"ll come back for me
You give me strength and hope

And so...
Even in darkness, I will wait
For you to light a match
And bring back the light to me
Bring back your love to me
In the flicker of the candlelight.

You’ll see my shadow standing beside you…
In the midst of the darkness
I’ll be holding the light
that will rekindle the fire where darkness surrounds you…

In the candlelight
Where I see your emptiness… so alone, cold and dreary
I’ll let my warmth embrace you,
Holding you close, casting your pain away…

When there’s nothing but darkness surrounds you
And you feel consumed by the light
You’ll see my face in the dimness of the night, smiling right at you...
While I’ll whisper into your heart “I still love you so”…

Let me in once again, let me hold you tight
Give me another chance to be your strength & your light… your candlelight.

In darkness where you await,
I’ll be coming for you...
Holding the flicker of the candlelight
To bring you back where you once belong
To the light… To my heart….
To our love….
