looking for the name of a book

i need help with the title of this book. it is a book for kids about a man who has to find out what the head of a drum is made of. if he guesses correctly he gets to marry the princess fruela. during his travels he meets others who help him - by tremendous feats of eating, hearing, running, etc. the companions are named in spanish, e.g. the eater fellow is named comin coman. in the book is a rhyme - "the head of the drum te tum, guess what it's from te tum, and marry the princess fruela!". he ends up guessing correctly that it is made from the skin of a flea and he gets the girl.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
