This evening I watched a very powerful movie which used a quote from D.H. Lawrence. That quote caused me to search for the full poem on the internet, which brought me to your site. The poem is entitled "Self Pity".
I quote:
"I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself"

Life in the world with all of its uncertainties (failing economy, unemployment, war) is at this moment difficult for all of us and I find this quote to be of particular use as I personally duel with my own tribulations. Remember, my dear friends, to stay positive in your tree as you enjoy the breaking dawn, and the glorious sunset for it shall be here sooner than we all think. Let us not dwell on our sufferings, but sing everyday with joy.

Interesting that two people did the same exact thing. I was watching the same movie tonight and that's how I came about this forum, looking for thoughts on that quote. Haha.
