Happy Birthday, Bazarov! :)

An interview with Bazarov:

Why are we doing this interview thing?
I really don't know.

Are you sure you want to do this?
No.

Are you male or female?
Male.

What is your name (if you don't mind sharing it with us)?
Ivan - western version is John.

Got milk?
Yes.

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
The cookie monster.

If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
Đorđe Balašević - Prva ljubav - it's song about me, really!

What makes you keep coming back to the Forum?
It's the only place where I can discuss about books.

It has been a year since the last interview. What have been the high and low points?
Low - I didn't see any so relevant to remember it. But once I got so drunk I couldn't eat nothing for three days. Awful.
High - degree in civil engineering.

The best and worst books you have read during last year?
The best would be Canterbury Tales and the worst would be The Grapes of Wrath, that was really a painful read.

The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
Pleasant - Roger Federer finally wining Roland Garros.
Unpleasant - my friend did something really nasty but we are both males so we somehow got over that without consequences.

What has been the the biggest change in your life since your last birthday?
I got banned from buying more books - I can get another one whne I move to my own flat.

Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism?
Yes, God is OK. Nice bear and a stick.

Given the option, what animal would you choose t
o be?
Shark.

How did you meet your significant other?
I hope it will be on a book market.

What is the one thing you must do before you die?
Visit Russia!

Do you believe in ghosts?
No, I am smart.

What is your role in an emergency situation: the 911 dialer, the person who runs to
the scene to help, the video recorder, or the person too overcome by shock to do anything?
I hope/guess I would be the person who runs to the scene to help. Honestly, I've never been in that kind of situation.

What song is in your head at the moment?
Pink Floyd - Wearing The Inside Out

Which book are you reading at the moment?
Canterbury Tales

The last book you finished reading?
Decameron by Boccaccio.

Favorite TV shows?
Only Only fools and horses.

Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?
All of you on some big isolated island with isolated prison for Dan Brown fans! It would be full of houses that would represent Author section and Orwell would probably have the biggest one. I would own a penthouse on Dostoevsky's section :D

Favorite post on the Forum?
Some sticky on Orwell.

Favorite thread?
Idiot - book of the month; Master and Margarita - book of the month; Official LitNet Homework thread in Animal Farm section; one in War and Peace about soccer; one in 1984 about what would/could happen in WWII...

Last food did you have?
Spaghetti with cheese and shrimps.

Last words you said out loud?
She can take it back, some dayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Last person you hugged/kissed?
A friend. I know, but it was a football match and our team scored for a victory.

What question would you like to ask yourself?
Quousque tandem abutere, Ivan, patientia mea?

What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Reading?

Last dream you remember having?
Sorry, can't remember.

Who is your best friend and how long you have known them?
A friend from elementary school, so it's almost 20 years.

]If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
Taste of smell - it's almost useless. I have to touch, be able to feel taste of beer, steak or cake, hear music, see letters over pages or nature so I guess smell would be excluded.

Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
Mostly happy, but some things would like to change. Actually, I must change them.

How often do you tell lies?
Rarely. Really!

What gives your life meaning?
Honestly; me so far.

What type of Faerie would you like to be and why?
Never heard for Faerie and googling it would be a cheat.

If you were a colour, what colour would you be and why?
Blue - like sky, sea, and my favorite football club.

What makes you laugh?
Honest and smart humor, good joke, accidents without serious consequences.

What was the happiest period of your life and why?
High school - still very young but with some brain in my head, great friends, a lot of free time, nothing to be worry about...

If you could be a disney character who or what would you be and why?
Casper - so I can help people.

One thing you would like to do before your next birthday?
Visit some beautiful country or town with my friends. Maybe Scotland or Russia. Or Egypt.

Did you answer all of the question?
I think I did. I won't check it, that's for sure.

One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?
If you see Dan Brown in public, hit him hardly! That's not very wise, I know :D

What would you like to ask to the person to be interviewed after you?
How boring was for you to read this?

This answer left way too many things for the imagination to run wild:

The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
...
Unpleasant - my friend did something really nasty but we are both males so we somehow got over that without consequences.
