I know this is a long shot, but I'll take the risk. I am looking for a book but I am unsure of the title. (It may be called Prince Tom)

Now this may sound silly, I read this book in sixth grade (11yrs of age- many, many years ago) But for some unknown reason it made a huge impact on my life. Even now, I have no idea why - but it did. When I moved away from home my father sent all of my school fiction books off to 'good will.'

From memory the book was about a man and his unusual dog, (Cocker Spaniel) named Prince Tom that possessed a talent to entertain. The dog enters many competitions and even stars on television for a while. Unfortunately he dies, towards the end of the book, but has a litter of pups with another Spaniel and produces 7 or 8 pups, but one special pup is just like him. Which the owner called Prince Tom the Second.

I would love to get my hands on such a book. If anyone has a clue how, I would greatly appreciate it.

I know I have never read such a book, but after a little bit of Googling I maybe found something.

Could it be Champion Dog: Prince Tom by Jean Fritz? It's based on a true story. You can order it from Amazon.com for example.

Oh, how stupid am I. Why didn't I think of that. Yes... Thank you so much. This is the one. Exactly. Now that I see it, I just remembered the front cover. You are a gem. Thanks again.
