I have been given four lines of an old poem and am trying to find title, author and the rest of the poem. Can anyone help, please?
Just over the top of the next brown rise
I expect something wonderful to greet my eyes.
"What's yonder", I ask the next wayfarer I meet.
"Nothing", he answered and looks at my tired worn feet.

The poem is "ON THE ROAD" by
Charles G D Roberts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_G.D._Roberts)
written in 1915, published in the collection "The Vagrant of Time" (1927)

Do people still read Roberts? I'm into Can-Lit, and even I can't make excuse for him (though, Tantramar Revisited is a decent poem).

Thank you DWolfman for the info.
JBI As far as still reading Roberts, it was a partially remembered poem that my mother would like once again to read.
