This is a big question and one of the most debated ones all over the world. People suffering intensely want to relieve themselves of the pains, but they cannot do so for the state does not permit them this. Life is a choice, and why death should not be in point of fact. If man does not want to carry his life why should he be stopped to do so? No one can guarantee peace of mind and if the man feels that he wants to be at peace with death or he wants to be at rest with death why should he be proscribed to die. Since society cannot secure his needs and cannot assure him happiness why should it stop him from taking his own life if it does not harm others?
Life is said to be a celebration by some poets why should death not be so? Does it demand of us some change in attitudes? There are so many people living lives of miseries and want to meet with death for eternal peace, but they are disallowed and yet ultimately society cannot stop their desire to die. They will die in hiding. Life and death are things of personal choice. If a person feels uncomfortable in this world and is feeling tormented he wants to take eternal rest. This must be his choice.
