I am looking forward to discussing literature with other members of the board. I can by no means consider myself "well read" which is a situation on which I hope to make progress. I always said if I become very ill and must be bedridden I will make up for this deficit. The time has come.
I have enjoyed the plays and essays of Oscar Wilde, I'm currently reading Jane Austen as I'm finding the works light enough not to overwhelm my mood but I cannot say I find them much to my liking. I would appreciate suggestions of titles and authors who ride the narrow line between offering something of the human condition without taking me for a depressing ride.

hi Ohoreo:nod:
I'm pretty new to this forum, too; and I could noway consider myself well-read either. But you've got to give us a clue about the books you prefer reading...For example,do you like classics?Or you enjoy modern literature the most?Love stories,or religious texts,or mysteries,or science fiction books..? Welcome to Lit-Net, anyway!!I hope I'll see you around!

Hi Ohoreo,
Welcome, I haven't been here for long and I would also not consider myself well read. You are in good company. Enjoy.
