Ok, So, I'm in college English 111 just out of high school and I have my frist assignment. I have to answer the questions in our book about the Wong and Zoellner essays, 'The Struggle To Be An All-American Girl' and 'I'm O.K., but You're Not' respectively. The problem is that English just isn't my strongest subject. I'm not looking for the answers to the questions, but perhaps a helpful hint or something? Also, another question that confuses me a little--
Each essay has a particular social, cultural, and political context. Describe this context for both essays. Then identify at least three other viewpoints that exist in the cultural, social, or political conversations that surround each of these topics.
or looking for a thesis. I don't know how to find a thesis, and that's one of the questions. Just any help would be wonderful. The essays can be easily found on google.
