There are those that see a rising art in videogames. There are those that put a great videogame in the same light as a great film or great novel. I am not one of those people, though I do enjoy the occasional mindless game. This thread is for discussing your favorite videogames!

Yes, there is a art rising in computer games. But it needs time ro rise. Maybe a lot of time. Maybe whole century. Truth is that computer games are more and more realistic. They are growing directly with capacity of computers. And there is more, you need more to create computer game. Story, Music, Sound, Actors,........ They are more complicated and more realistic. But of course they don't have that art level which has Brothers Karamazov or Faust or Bible. :-)
But they offers universe where you don't have to imagine situation (advantage against books) and where you can drive that universe (advantage against movies of comics). That is the best what they can offer. Universe where you are God!!! They offer big success (hero of the world)!!! Next step in evolution? --- The Matrix!!!--- (closest to this are RPGs - Role Playing Game)
Matrix - universe where you are person what you want to be. Doctor? No problem. Street racer? No problem. Powerfull wizard? No problem. Leader of a tribe? No problem. Invincible warrior? No problem. Again young and beautiful? No problem. World without evil? No problem. God? No problem. There aren't borders for human imagination. Life in dream? No problem or problem? Extremes are here bad. Life in dream - bad. Life in total reality(without books, films, music, games, hobbies......) bad too. Human mind needs to rest. That's why are books, movies, stories,......... here.
Like in movies or books, there are good games and bad games. I said it needs time and I think it is true. What do you think about it? (interesting - boys play games more often than girls) What do you think about that?
