What are we, but slaves to our desires?
What are we, but tools for our fears?
What are we, but weapons for our evil?
Every day, we spawn, and every day we fall to the inevitable fate that awaits us all.
We hold no control of our final moments, no choice but to succumb to the merciless darkness that comes for us all.
Is that why, we depress the goodness that lies in our hearts, locks it shut beneath the prison of our evil?
We have no say, in how we are born, or in how we die; All we can decide, is how to live our lives, how to exercise the gifts that are given to us.
Yet, daily we succumb to the merciless evil that resides next to our goodness.
Why must mankind be so cruel? Why can we not live to explore, and to practice the limits of the gifts that was given to us at birth.
I say, again; what are we but slaves to our desires? Tools for our fears? What are we, but weapons for our unquenchable evil?
Evil and goodness.
Love and hate.
Pain and desire.
For all actions we commit, we could do the opposite; Instead of take lives, cherish life.
Instead of succumb to our evil, embrace our charitableness.
Instead of giving it to our fears, fight it.
Where we see evil, we could see good.
Where we see death, we could see life.
Where we see pain, we could see delight.
These are the verdicts of our lives; the rules by which we live. For all the actions you commit; should you instead do the exact opposite?
Choose, for in this great world, all we hold sway over, is how to live our own lives.
