Hi, I am Iris and I am very glad I found this forum. I am a mother of 4, ages 5,6,11, and 14 and I work as a scientist in a medical research center. I love to read and have recently started to teach myself English literature. I found a great free online course (Dr. Steven Lane, from Vancouver Island U.), and several very helpful books about English literature (such as Ruth Fleischman's A Survey of English Literature in the historical context). So as you can imagine, I am enjoying myself very much. Still there was something missing and I think I will find it in this forum. Being able to discuss one's thoughts and ideas about reading and books is invaluable and I thank you for such a lively forum.
I love Charles Dickens, the Bronte sisters, and Virginia Woolf.
