Hi there. I just joined and wanted to say hello to everyone. This looks like a very interesting forum with an incredibly broad range of discussions. I came upon it by accident yesterday while doing a Google search for an explanation of Rudyard Kipling’s poem The Gods of the Copybook Headings, which I found elsewhere on this site.
I have been retired for about seven years, so I suppose that makes me older than many of the members here. That's great. My wife and I live in Canada.
A great deal of my time is spent gardening, reading and listening to classical music. I also love walking, cycling and going to my yoga class every week.
Recently I finished reading Ken Follett’s World Without End, David Rotenberg’s Shanghai, and Lawrence Hill’s The Book of Negroes. All excellent reads, I thought.
At the present time, I am reading The Art Thief by Noah Charney. This is Charney’s first novel and contains a lot of interesting information about the art world.
I am looking forward to our future discussions about books and other things.
