In honor of Star Wars Episode III, I have decided to make two polls. One is favorite Jedi and the other is favorite Sith. If you like one that isn't on put it in the not here category and tell me who they are.

I love Yoda, he was so smart and wise and cute in his little swamp... and all the SW character tests I've taken, all say I'm Yoda. He is the best, and his fight scene in Episode II showed another side of him and he was great.
Oh, why isn't Anakin in the poll, he was a Jedi?

He is considered Darth Vader, a Sith.

yeah but his good side was a jedi, who turned to the dark side. well,he never did finish that training, but he did fight as a jedi for a long time, at least as a jedi padawan.

Definitely Obi-Wan, you can't beat him. He's kind-hearted, he has a steady resolve, and Alec Guiness played him! That you cannot top.

Everyone like Obi Wan.
Jack_Aubrey
06-16-2005, 01:17 PM
That's because he is the best.
Bongitybongbong
06-16-2005, 01:31 PM
Qui-Gonn's still cooler.
Jack_Aubrey
06-16-2005, 01:33 PM
No way, his character is so flat. We know hardly anything about his personality until Yoda tells Obi-Wan "sense Qui-Gonn's defiance in you I can." So we know that he was kind of a rebel but that's pretty much it. Obi-Wan>Qui-Gonn
Bongitybongbong
06-16-2005, 01:38 PM
Qui Gonn= so awesome
Obi Wan= ok
Obi Wan bores me, but I'm a fan boy that also reads books, so I have a deeper view of them and stuff.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and as much as I like books, I've only tried my luck with one Star Wars book. And to be honest it sucked. It was post Episode VI, Han and Leia were married, and they had twins, who were jedi, and they get kidnapped. And Luke is nowhere to be found when Han and Leia need him most. I don't remember anything else.

Yeah well I read an entire series about Qui-Gonn and Obi Wan's adeventures before the first movie.
Jack_Aubrey
06-16-2005, 01:54 PM
Oh cool. So fill me in on Qui-Gonn.
Bongitybongbong
06-16-2005, 02:04 PM
Ok Qui-Gonn, before taking on Obi Wan, had padawan problems. His last padawan Xantos went evil and hated Qui-Gonn. He couldn't forgive himself for failing Xantos and for a very long time he went without an apprentice. He uses his bad feelings more than most other Jedi that don't go bad. He is seen as very rebelious for a Jedi and he almost lost Obi Wan twice. Once Obi Wan became to old to stay in the temple without becoming an apprentice. Obi Wan had to go to a dangerous farming colony that would serve as a training area for him. Qui-Gonn was scheduled to go to that farming colony and after adventures Qui-Gonn takes on Obi-Wan. The second time Obi Wan left the Jadi Order to try to help this planet at war for a stupid reason, and eventually Obi Wan came back. I'll try to get more background and stuff on Qui-Gonn because this is the only stuff I can name off the top of my head.

So Qui-Gonn AND Obi-Wan lost an apprentice. That's cool man I appreciate it.

Jack, I was looking for a detailed background of Qui-Gon Jinn but I couldn't find one. (Even starwars.com had a not so good one and he's one of their characters)

That's stupid, but I appreciate the thought. P.S. You can call me Peter or Pete or whatever.

Do you play any of the Star Wars video games?
Bongitybongbong
06-16-2005, 07:59 PM
I don't play many games in general but I've played Lego Star Wars and the Star Wars Rouge Sqaudron Series. (both are fun)

Haha, good choice. I'm not going to deny the fact that I played with Legos up until I was like 12.

Lego's are really fun, but I stopped playing with at 10 or so.

Alright... I voted for Qui-Gon, because he was the coolest of the in-movie jedi...
But Kyle Katarn is the coolest Jedi from the star wars universe.
Jack_Aubrey
06-19-2005, 02:22 PM
Kyle Katarn deserves an action figure, in my book.
Go for the KOTOR, though, there are lots of Jedi in both (though i've played only one). And in the case of Vader, if you follow the KOTOR universe, Bastilla was like a pre-vader, being a huge code freak and doing the right thing then turning evil w/some sweet-talking, you know, the whole, "you do not know the power of the Dark Side, blah-blah-blah, we make u stronger, blah-blah-blah, you come w/us or we KilU, blah!" thing.

I'm of the opinion that mr. Lucas put everything (good) to loose, in the new Star Wars prequels.
He centered around Darth Vader and forgot the other half: how Han Solo won the Millenium Falcon from Lando Chalrisian in a hand of poker. (How Han Solo met Chewbacca.) Among other interesting things, that could have been told.
BLAST'IM!~
I don't like to consider the new 3 movies - as far as I'm concerned, there have only been 3 movies, and none of those books, and of those, the only cool Jedi is Yoda, since he's green, and small, but somehow is always right.

Yes, but Chewi has his own movie, the Star Wars Holiday Special, featuring his fluffy family, and his quest to get home and not miss the Life day celebrations.

I'm almost voting for Yoda.
However, when I first saw him, I thought with my socks that, once he was at least 1000 years (because "for 900 years I have been training Jedi", as he says in T Empire Strikes Back ...), I imagined he had become little because of old age ... It was something romantic, in my mind.
So his story in the "prequels" (aaargh!!!) kind of disappointed me ...
(Many things in the prequels disappointed me! awgh!) :crash:

Sorry Papaya, I hate Yoda. Stupid vague little green know-it-all do-gooder....
My favorite isn't from one of the original Star Wars movies so many will claim that it doesn't count, but I've had a little crush on young Anakin Skywalker from Revenge of the Sith since the movie came out when I was seventeen:

I've always had a thing for villians, and you really can't find a more notorious villian than Darth Vader. Plus, he's cute.
