A corner for my castle,
Or zeros for my hundred dollars.
A tire for my fancy car,
A ladder to reach the stars.
Who is he??
Foreign to my heart,
Away from my chart.
We live together,
But we’re far away from each other.
No common, No complain
And that what increase my pain.
Ignorant to dignity that
Squeal under our heels.
Blind and we only see
A smile of two kids
Whose only guilt that
They are the children of
Materials dignity.

I thought this was so poetically versed for a modern plight. i love the imagery and use of metaphor. I especially enjoyed the quick turn from the boasting of materialistic comforts to the bitter self loathing of the stale circumstance of the family. The end remarkably adds emotional effect with the involvement of the children, the successors to the parents materialistic and loveless ways.

Thank you, and i hope to read more that you may offer.
