I can't find this book in English, has it never been translated or am I just not computerized enough to know were to look. it's by Alessandro Baricco. I have wanted to read this book for years but what I find on amazon all seems to be in Spanish, French or Italian and I don't speak any of those languages... any help very appreciated

It doesn't appear to have been translated. At a mere 62 pages in length it may be a hard sell to a publisher to invest in the translation of something that will undoubtedly have a limited audience at best... at least not until/if the book attains best-seller or "classic" status. At least, such would be my best guess.

I forgot to mention that my favourite movie is based on this book, starring Tim Roth called 'the legend of 1900' it was in English but made by Italian director and producer...
