She serves them day
She serves them night
Each to his own very delight
and for their feast to at once be done
or for her married meal to have been won
She lay as she pray

The heart in this deserves to come home to candlelight, baked sea bass with asparagus tips hollandaise and rice pilaf, served with champagne and favorite dinner music.

Well composed.

I'm sorry to hear you are no longer going to be posting your works on this site. It seems you are a popular poet, and im sure you have earned that fandom by your talent. It is unfortunate. By these acts I feel devastated. When i found this forum, i didnt find just a electronic blog, billboard, or advertisement, I found a space. A space to learn, read, grow, inspire, and relate to others. I dont know many people where i live who share my passion for poetry and writing. so here was a wonderful place to do so. It is sad to see you go, even if i havent read your works yet.....I will.

In relation to your comment, it brought a smile to my face. Especially since this was originally an excerpt for an alternate poem i was working on. About a heart.Secondly, because it can be construed in so many ways. I wonder if your saw the girl as the obvious waitress or the identity of a promiscuous woman? would she be so deserving of such a delicious meal then?

by the way asparagus with hollandaise is one of my favorite dishes, as well as sea bass.

not to say that i am either identities written :) just a funny coincidence

I have been and have known many people walking through life in so many ways. Each and every one deserves sea bass, asparagus hollandaise, wild rice with champagne.

We are all, as Wallace Stevens said, "rubies reddened by rubbies reddening."
