I remember having to read a particular short story in high school. I have a vague recollection that it may have been by someone like Aristotle, but not necessarily. Here is my description, as best I can recall:
It was a short story about a logician who met a beautiful woman who knew nothing about logic. He courted her, and then taught her all about formal logic, and it took some time. At the end of the story, she was so expert at logical reasoning that she formulated a complex proof as to why she could not continue to date him. No matter how many reasons he came up with as to why they should, she came back with a formal, logical explanation as to why they should not.
