As Your Seasons Turn

My eyes watch as the colors change
and the sun sets upon your face
the leaves in your hair falling loose
bathed within a rose-golden hue.

The seasons of your soul turning
my eyes watch as the colors change
while clouds are passing through your heart
and the flowers bloom from your pores.

My breath is stilled within your breeze
painted in natures earth tone hues
my eyes watch as the colors change
and winter sparks within your gaze.

I bask within your grassy plains
beneath the soft shade you create
the moon rises within your womb
my eyes watch the colors change.

Glorious! What is particularly wonderful to me is that while each of these four 'seasons' could be read as a poem in itself, each flows organically from the preceding. And it is simultaneously a whiff of that season and a tribute to the person addressed.

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed this one. I had some doubts about it and thought it might sound a bit awakard, so glad to read your comments.

I kind of imagined that you wrote this for a tree that you like to sit under or one you see from a window. One you gaze at while you write and/or gives you inspiration in moments of sadness. But it makes more sense that it was written for a dear friend. Great images!

That poem is absolutely great. I loved the imagery.

Thank you, I acutally didn't write this about a specific person, so I guess in a way it is about woman in general and it draws a bit from my Goddess worship.

Very well written. This line is immortal:

the moon rises within your womb

I often think of the night as a lady, and giving birth to the moon is a vivid image I can relate well to. :thumbs_up

Thank you, the moon is something which I have always held sacred.
