Hello there to everyone. I discovered this site while searching for a poem for a funeral - I hope someone might be able to help. All that the bereaved person can tell me about his father's favourite poem is that it is a sort of cautionary tale for children about a boy who is told to be careful of machines, not get off vehicles before they have stopped, and then he follows these rules when encountering an escalator, doesn't get off, and comes to a sticky end. We thought it was maybe by Hilare Belloc, but it seems not. We would be really grateful for any pointers. Thankyou.
