Vardaman - youngest son

Vardaman's age is the only one that is particularly important, and estimates range from 8-10, or that he's a mentally deficient adult like Benjy of The Sound and the Fury.

I had to read the book twice to understand it. I love it though. My favorite character would have to be Vardaman because of the "my mother is a fish" motif.
